Are you looking for a Toyota Camry Hybrid?

Q: what kind of mpg does a toyota camry hybrid realistically get?
im in the market for a toyota camry hybrid as a second car for my commute to work and i want to know if the figures 33-34 mpg are realistic. if you own a THC or if you know someone who does, please share with me what your camry hybrid achieves for gas mileage and how you like it otherwise. thanks!

A: They are getting very good Reviews.

http://www.hybridcars.com/forums/any-camry-hybrid-t1115.html

http://www.autos.com/car-buying/average-mpg-of-a-toyota-camry-hybrid

Looks like you can expect at least 31 MPG and as high as 45 MPG.

Just depends .

Q: Anybody have an experience with Toyota Camry Hybrid cars?
We own a 2004 regular Toyota Camry & love it. We need to buy another used car as we have 3 kids and we’re one car short. Any particular year that is an excellent model year for their hybrid car?
Any other used cars anyone can highly recommend. Want to spend around $10K-$12K, if possible.

A: Yes, Yahoo Autos had experiance with ALL Hybrids and found out that they don’t save you money.

Most people buying a hybrid are assuming they will be the least expensive vehicle to operate but that is totally untrue. Yes they are very good on fuel mileage BUT you have to consider ALL costs, not fuel alone. When including all costs over a three year period no hybrid including the Prius even makes the top ten list of most economical cars as can be seen here:
http://autos.yahoo.com/articles/autos_content_landing_pages/1442/cheap-dates-the-10-least-expensive-cars-to-own/
The Chevy will be the most reliable on that list followed by the Smart car.

So if your plan is to save money on operating costs then choose one of the top ten most economical cars form the list and avoid all hybrids sense not even one of them made the top ten list.

The Camry you are driving now has been recalled for seat belts AND air bags so make an appointment with the dealer.
See the recall notice here: http://www.automotive.com/2004/12/toyota/camry/recalls/index.html

Q: Can I convert my Toyota Camry Hybrid to a plug-in?
I’ve seen articles about conversion kits to convert hybrids into plug-in hybrids. I haven’t been able to find anything about converting the Toyota Camry Hybrid. I want to know who can do it and how much it will cost. thanks.

A: Not yet

Q: Is the Garmin Map Update 2009 dvd compatible with the 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid?
I recently purchased a 2009 Garmin map update for the gps in my car. I’m not entirely sure that it will be compatible with my 2007 Toyota camry hybrid.

A: Not unless you have an aftermarket-installed Garmin GPS in your TCH. The Toyota navigation system uses a proprietary navigation DVD. Updates occur about once a year, and you can only get them from a Toyota parts source.

In the US, a new DVD will be upwards of US$200.

However, in Europe/UK, you can see if the updates are worth it before you order a new DVD, and pricing is vaguely better… http://www.toyota-mapupdates.eu/

Q: How do you like your 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid?
Owners of 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid, how do you like it? And what stuff you don’t like?

A: i don’t own one but i’ve heard nothing but great things from owners. the gas mileage is great for a car of that size. quiet, refined, good handling, nice interior, nice option packages.

i hear the trunk is kinda smaller because of the battery.

Q: Why dose a toyota camry hybrid cost more that prius. you get better gas mileage in the prius (2010 50mpg)?
2010-toyota camry hybrid 34mpg
2010-toyota prius 50mpg
is there really a difference and if so what?

A: What makes you think that price should be determined based on mileage alone? Following that logic, a Prius should cost more than a Ferrari too. (Hint: It doesn’t. You could buy a fleet of eight (or more!) Prius for the price of the cheapest new Ferrari (which gets a whopping 13mpg) that I could find.)

Camry is larger, it’s a sedan (some people prefer that over the Prius hatchback), it has more power (not that anybody driving only on public roads needs it), and the bottom line: Toyota feels that the market will pay more for it, so they price it accordingly.

Q: How can I improve the trunk springs on my 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid?
The trunk lid on my 2007 Camry Hybrid won’t stay up when opened while the car is parked facing uphill. This is a real problem where I live when unloading groceries, etc. Does anyone know how to make the springs stronger?

A: There should be replaceable hydraulic cylinders on either side, they snap in and out. Go to the auto parts store and tell them what they are for.

Q: Toyota Camry Hybrid or Toyota Corolla; Which gets better acceleration?
I’m just curious how the Camry Hybrid compared to the Toyota Corolla in acceleration and pick up. I heard the Camry Hybrid has less acceleration that a gas Camry, but I’m interested in how it compared to the Toyota Corolla.

A: These are based on 09 models..

4 cylinder Camry goes 0-60mph in 8.8 seconds
6 cylinder Camry goes 0-60mph in 6.4 seconds
Hybrid Camry goes 0-60 in 9.5 seconds

The Corolla does 0-60 in 8.9 seconds

Q: what should my decision making process be (steps) when buying the toyota camry hybrid? Why are these essential?
I am car illiterate and I want to buy this camry hybrid. What should my decision making process be so that I don’t rush this? Why are these essential to have?

A: Go to cars.com .Look for all the dealers around you and send them all emails that you are interested to buy this toyota camry hybrid. Let them know the color, interior, auto or stick shift and everything you wanted for a car and ask them to email you back the “out the door” final price. And from there you should have gone to your Credit Union for a loan.

Q: Will the Toyota Camry Hybrid be overnight plug-in within a few model years?
If Toyota added some batteries, the Camry Hybrid could drive 25-40 miles per day without even running the engine, and would just be plugged in at home overnight to recharge. Anyone heard if Toyota is pursuing this/

A: no

Q: How much tax credit does a Toyota Camry Hybrid 2007 qualify for 2006?
(Toyota Camry Hybrid 2007 will be available in May 2006.)

A: If you get one of the first 3000-6000 (I’m not sure) hybrids from Toyota, you get up to $3000 tax credit.

Q: What kind of gas mileage are you really getting on your Toyota Camry Hybrid?
I know Toyota is publishing 40 mpg but that’s using the notoriously inaccurate EPA method. Anyone actually measure it themselves?

A: According to the GreenHybrid.com Mileage Database, the Camry Hybrid is getting, on average, about 37 mpg, in a sample of 118 cars.

Not exactly what Toyota published, but certainly not bad for a midsize sedan, either.

Q: The Difference between a The Toyota Camry hybrid and the Camry sedan?
Both of the cars look exactly alike, can someone help me tell the difference.

A: I’m assuming that you’re asking about cosmetic differences that you can see from the outside.

First are the hybrid badges on the rear and side of the car. The hybrid also has LED taillights (not any any other model until 2010 model where they are standard) and the lenses are different colored, all white on the portion that is on the truck lid. There is a relatively large protuberance on the rear deck lid which is a vent to cool the hybrid batteries. The grill is fully chrome with shiny chrome in the center section matte chrome colored rather than color-keyed or black in the other trim levels. The headlights are also tinted light blue in the area surounding the lenses.

Hope this helps.

Ken

Q: Would a Toyota Camry Hybrid’s grille fit into a LE?
Hi, I have a 2009 Toyota Camry LE model. I was wondering if the Hybrid’s chrome grille would fit into my LE camry. If so, where could i find it or what’s the estimated price?

Thanks so much!

A: Yes.

Q: How much should I pay for a Toyota Camry Hybrid?
The car I am looking at is red with ash interior w/ navigation system and moon roof MSRP 29500. The dealers “best offer” is 27,866 which is 1000 above Invoice. After taxes we come to 30,746. Am I getting a good deal? Thanks!

A: go to kelly blue book, has a standard in price. The price shouldn’t be much higher than what kbb says. the site is kbb.com I use this when I go to buy a car is a nice free spam free tool to help you determine the price of car. Just put in the car info and your zip code. Nothing more. kbb.com

Are you looking for a Hyundai Sonata Turbo?

Q: I am putting a turbo on my 03 hyundai sonata cnt find a prefit so im goin with ebay $600 one will it fit my v4?

A: Sure, but then you would have to fabricate an intercooler, all the piping, and an exhaust manifold. You will also need to lower the compression ratio of the motor and replace the rods, pistons, etc… with forged ones (which do not exist for your application so you better get to machining). Now that you haveaccomplished that you will need to get bigger fuel injectors and then get the car “tuned” for the new set-up.

My point is that there is a reason why there is not a turbo kit available for a Sonata. That car was not built with performance in mind. The motor and transmission are reliable, but very weak. You will spend thousands of dollars to maybe get 25-30 horsepower. It is not worth it. Save your money for a car this worth upgrading. It would suck to spend thousands of dollars making that car faster only to get it handed to you by a stock supercharged Cobalt SS.

Q: can a hyundai Sonata 2009 beat a 2002 audi a4 1.8L turbo?

A: I have a 2009 Sonata with the 260 hp motor in mine. There is no way an Audi A4 would even consider racing my car. In about 3 seconds from the start the A4 would see nothing but tail lights. Plus above all of this, the Sonata is much better built vehicle and has a better warrantee. Also, you can be sure your Sonata will start in cold weather. That A4 will give you starting problems below 35 degrees F.

Q: can i put a turbo on my sonata?
i have a 2009 hyundai sonata v4 and i would like more power. can you put a turbo on it or something? and would it void my warrenty? and how much would it cost roughly?

A: Absolutely, but you are going to have to get a custom turbo kit made because they do not sell kits for the Sonata. A custom turbo kit will cost you no less than $5000 not including installation or tuning. Doing this would void your entire drivetrain warranty (motor, transmission etc…)

Keep in mind that the internals of the motor in your Sonata were not built with performance in mind. You would have to upgrade your pistons, connecting rods, crankshaft and transmission because they are weak. You can bank on another $6000 in parts just for that.

So here you are having spent about $10,000 in parts to safely turbocharge your Sonata and you still won’t have anything over about 220 horsepower. If you have the money to take on this adventure, then you have the money to buy a faster car that is brand new.

Q: When is the all-new, 2011 Hyundai Sonata Limited sedan coming out at dealers?
Also, since there won’t be a 6-cylinder engine, how much later in the year will the 4-cylinder turbo arrive? Thanks.

A: it is predicted to arrive in Canada and the US sometimes in April 2010. I’m not sure if the Turbo model has been approved for these two countries. will see….. V6 engine have been discontinued because Hyundai is concentrating (besides other major factors) in reducing fuel consumption. Sometimes in Sept 2010 you will be able to see Sonata and Tucson in Hybrid models. Just stay tuned.

Q: Hyundai Sonata (2011) ?
anybody own a 2011 sonata? if so, is it good in terms of quality & comfort? & is the engine noisy or smooth? am thinking of buying the limited 2.0 turbo later this yr when they begin selling them.

A: jump in now/dont wait

Q: Hyundai Sonata Question (2011) ?
anybody own a 2011 sonata? if so, is it good in terms of quality & comfort? & is the engine noisy or smooth? am thinking of buying the limited 2.0 turbo later this yr when they begin selling them.

A: comfy and stylish. kicking a.. Honda, Accord and Toyota. Looking for Turbo version. Wait and see. When it comes out I strongly recommend you to test drive one. Only this way you can answer your question. I can’t… How you feel in the car? You will be the only one capable of answering to this question and only by feeling it on the road. It won’t cost you anything to test drive one.

Have fun.

Q: Which is a better buy of the 2?
hopefully am getting a new car by october if not november of this year. and am confused between these 2 choices. hyundai sonata 2011 turbo or chevy equinox. which do you think is better & why? personal experience would be good. thanks.

A: Hyundai Sonata all the way. Have you seen how beautiful that car is? Hyundai has really turned around and made their cars reliable, inexpensive, and with great designs to boot. The Sonata turbo is highly fuel efficient and fun to drive. it’s currently the top midsize sedan in america right now. here’s a review on the sonata turbo, which isn’t out yet (incase you didn’t know)

Q: I have a choice between 2 cars. Which one should I get, the Dodge Challenger SRT8 or the 2010 Mustang GT?
My cousin has a 1989 5.0 Mustang and everyone else I know has a mustang, but I really like the Dodge Challenger SRT8. I dont know what I should do.

A: Dodge Challenger SRT 8 hands down.

Q: How much does a Brand new Dodge Challenger SRT8 cost in Mexico?
Because I plan on joining the army and use my signing bonus to buy a new car. I also want to save some money.

A: depends who is buying it…….drug dealers pay cash, so they’ll look for a deal……..a regular working man won’t have the pesos or credit, so he’ll get stuck paying more.

Q: Who owns or will own the 2008.75 Dodge Challenger SRT8?
Who has purchased the new 2008.75 Dodge Challenger SRT8 and what do you think about it?
We just got our first one at our dealership and I was wondering what people thought of it.
It is one of the few that hasn’t been sold yet and I wanted some testimonials from actual owners to assist when demostrating the vehicle other than your normal 0-60, stylish retro look, quarter mile mumbo jumbo!
Thanks ahead of time.

A: I wish I could afford to buy one. We also just got our first one (black in color) at the dealership I work for, and I tell you what that is one awesome looking car.

Q: Have you seen any 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8’s on the street?
I know they are out but i’ve yet to see one on the street. If you have seen one on the street or at your local car lot, let us hear your story and your thoughts.

A: I have seen one.
What I like about the Dodge Challenger SRT8:looks supercool
What I hate about it:engine is too loud

Q: what is faster a 2007 dodge challenger srt8 or a 2006 dodge charger srt8?
i need help i need to know what to buy please stock srt8 answers only

A: Charger is a boat too…duh they both weigh about the same

Charger SRT8 -4150lbs
Challenger SRT8 – 4167lbs

It depends on the gearing and if you get auto or stick.

I’ve seen stock Chargers SRT8’s run 13.2.-3 in 1/4 mile and I’ve seen Challengers run 13.3 – 5 in 1/4 mile.

Oh and by the way there is no 2007 Challenger. Challengers went into production in 2008.

Q: How much will the 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT8 cost?

A: all of em are already sold and for a premium over sticker.

Q: How much will the Dodge Challenger SRT8 cost?

A: Dodge lists an MSRP of $40,095. Since the vehicle has been eagerly anticipated, I would assume that dealerships will be adding a substantial markup on top of the $40K sticker.

Q: should i get a 2008 dodge challenger srt8 or dodge ram3500 cummins?

A: I have had a 08 Challenger SRT8 on order since Feb 07. Firstly, Good luck in finding a 2008 SRT8 Challenger and secondly, good luck in getting one for MRSP….you will be looking at easily a +$10K market up for an SRT8 (min. $50K).

Having a 06 Magnum SRT8 (summer car) and a 04 Dodge Ram 3500 CTD with performance upgrades. I enjoy both vehicles but I would have to say my truck is the more enjoyable and most practical of the two vehicles as I haul my family around in it, haul our 5th wheel, and best thing I enjoy is the look at sports car owners when I blow there doors off.

The Dodge Ram 3500 you can have the best of both worlds….HP(lots of performance upgrades) & a workhorse hauler. The cummin’s you can crank out the HP and Torque very easily with a Performance Chip, exhaust, CAI, injectors. If you want to get carried away you can get stackable chips and propane injection that can crank out the HP. Also, the CTD is a great motor long lasting! However, the drawbacks for the Diesel when a part breaks be prepared for a big bill at times! Diesels are not the cheapest to maintain when things break.

If you wait for the 2009 Challenger they will have a 6 speed manual and a possible 6.4L Hemi that will crank out +500HP.

Q: Dodge Challenger SRT8?
Hi,

I was thinking about buying a Dodge Challenger SRT8. It is one of the best looking muscle cars I have ever scene. Do you have an experience with the car or info and articles available?

A: You can’t go wrong in in the purchase of the Dodge Challenger SRT8. The Camaro will fit someone in the drivers seat who is about 5′1″ that weighs 90 lbs. The Challenger ride quality is superb, not to mention the power the car has at 425 horsepower, and that’s stock!

Trust me when I tell. I also agree with the first poster, I looked at that and there is good info with a good discussion forum. Stick your head in there and check it out.

Q: which is better dodge challenger srt8 or ford mustang shelby gt 500?
i want to know which car is better i heard the dodge challenger are rare but the ford mustang shelby is better i need help

A: It really depends on the year model your going to buy. My advice go for the challenger, not to mention that the you dont find many challengers roaming around. But if price is an important issue to you then the mustang is cheaper no doubt. My older brother owns a porsche 911 turbo and he wants to sell it and get a Corvette ZR1 so it depends on what you think is necessary.

Q: Dodge Challenger SRT8 6 Speed.?
I bought a Dodge Challenger SRT8 6 speed and I’m happy with it except for one thing. The clutch grabs way to high on the pedal. Is there a way I can adjust the clutch so it grabs a little sooner? You have to let the pedal out just about all the way before it will engaged. Thanks for your answers.

A: It needs to be adjusted to your liking…Right now it,s a little too tight…Your dealer should be able to help you out..Hopefully for free!!!

Q: which car is faster the 2011 mustang 2009 dodge challenger srt8 or the 2010 camaro ss i need specific info?
what are their top speeds
what are their prices new and used prices
help i cant decide which to buy helpppppppppp

A: This is one’s for the actual dealerships, guy. And I doubt you’ll be hitting the top speeds on public roads…

Q: Dodge challenger srt8 as a daily driver?
I plan to get a dodge challenger srt8 after a couple of years (when the price lowers) and is 14city/20hwy alright as a daily driver? All ima do is go to the mall, drive my mom around, go to school, and show it off ofcourse =]. So what do you guys think about that? and if i drive it in a way to save gas, would it still be alright?

PS: How long do you guys think it’ll for the 09 challenger srt8 to atleast drop to 20k?

A: I’ve got an 09 SE as my daily driver doing majority highway-style driving and it’s still a lil bit of a punch to the wallet even with a decent job/paycheck. I’d advise the at most R/T if you’re gonna use it as a daily driver. If you’re going to be doing stop and go driving the cylinder cut-off won’t register so your mileage will be far worse than you’re expecting. Judging by your grammar and typing you’re not older than 25 so insurance is going to be a b*tch also, make sure you get some quotes and factor that into your plans. The Challenger has an 18.5 gallon tank (average fill-up with the low gas light is 16.5 gal) that you’ll probably have to refill bi-weekly at best so add in gas prices.

As far as price, barring Chrysler going bankrupt for good and shutting down, I wouldn’t expect to see prices of $20,000 for at least 5 years or 80K miles. Just estimates but the only marginally comparable aged car is a 2007 SRT8 Charger and its recommended selling price is still 25,000 according to Edmunds.com. And the new Charger isn’t nearly the ‘collector’ item the Challenger is.

Whatever trim you end up with, its a cool car that always gets a ton of looks/comments. Good luck

Q: 2008 dodge challenger SRT8 top speed?
anyone know what the top speed a 08 challenger SRT8 can hit is?

A: Electrically limited to 170 mph

Q: whch one is better 2010 dodge challenger srt8 or 2010 chevy camaro ss?
include evidence facts that proves which one is better.

A: their both junk,,

Q: How much is a 1967 Chevy Camaro Z28? And where can i find one.?

A: Only in a dream!

Q: what type of Intake Systems should I put in my 1988 chevy camaro iroc z28 5.7?
and is there a website i can look for. because i have search and nothing pop up.

A: You have to make you own… go to your local auto parts store and you should be able order a kit or make one from specter kit they have in there performance isle…

Q: 96 chevy camaro z28 dont start any help?
i have a 96 camaro 5.7 and it dont start i have good spark injector pulse and fuel pressure the car turns over and every thing the problem is that i took the heads out and now it doesnt start any help will be appreciated
the compression is 170 all cylinders
the heads are on the motor already i have a strong spark

A: First off – check and double check all of your electrical connections to your LT1 – its real easy to lose track of those sob’s that plug up close to the throttle body.

Did you somehow mess up the VATS – do you have the anti-theft? Do you have a security light on?

Try spraying a little spritz of carb cleaner or starting fluid through the throttle body and turning it over. If it surges, starts and stalls out, you know you’re having a fuel problem – perhaps not enough fuel pressure?

If not, I’d suspect you’re beginning to see problems with your Optispark. Are your plug-ins to the opti in good shape? Sometimes they get burned, or the pin connections get bent (if you disconnected them).

You say you have good spark – is it just a spark, or a strong, strong spark? It may be that your coil ground to your head isn’t strong enough. Run an extra lead from the coil ground to the battery (or chassis) ground and see if that helps.

If it were me, I’d suspect I messed up either the engine ground or one of the terminals – because that is what I’d most likely do!

Q: how much should i pay for a 2000 chevy camaro z28?? it has a LS1 engine in it.?
how much should i pay for a 2000 camaro z28 automatic …it has a LS1 engine but the car has 111,000 miles on it and the owner says its all stock. he says that nothings wrong with it except the window motor isn’t working properly. should i even get this car or will it always break down on me?? how long do these engines last? any information would be greatly appreciated.. thanks!!!

A: get the bluebook value.

Q: 2008 Nissan 350z nismo vs. 1996 Chevy Camaro z28?
to be tested someday (on the track). but. which car would win in a 1/4? 1/2?

a 2008 Nissan 350z (nismo edition) or a 1996 Chevy Camaro *z28*

A: They are both high 13 second cars. It would be a drivers race. I believe the 350Z has more horsepower, but the Camaro has a good bit more torque. The Z would probably definitely win the 12 mile run…..I’m not so sure on the 14.

Q: I need help with my 1989 Chevy Camaro IROC Z28?
me and my cousin wants to put a toggle ignition switch in my 1989 Camaro IROC cause we are gonna try to drag race it. How would we go by putting one in? you know like nascar how they flip a switch to start their engines… well i also need to know where i can find cheap body parts.

A: look at the distributor you will see a large wire separate from the others. This is you power lead . Buy a toggle switch with a min of 20 amps and wire it up

Q: 1998 Chevy Camaro Z28 low coolant light come on?
My camaro starts just fine and as I drive after a bit the light comes on. My coolant never exceeds 200 degrees and my coolant is also full every time no leak nothing. But the weird thing is the light goes away on its own sometimes. My friend told me that I need to do a radiator flush because the coolant might be dirty. Can someone please either confirm or tell me why my car is doing this? The car has 150K miles on it.

A: This is a common problem on our cars. You can replace the sensor (which on my car, is in the pass. side radiator, or just unplug it.. the connector is also near the pass. side radiator. There are no detrimental effects to unplugging it and the light will disappear. Check out www.z28.com or www.shbox.com for more info!!

Q: Is my 1982 Chevy Camaro Z28 considered a Classic?
its got 80000 miles and counting original paint is good and interior is good also original rims and T-tops the only thing that’s not stock in it are the speakers and radio

A: Definition of a classic automobile is one that exceeds 20 years of age. So yes.

Q: 1997 chevy camaro z28?
we have a 1979 chevy camaro z28 and well its been in the shed for probably 8 years if we got new tired and brakes and cleaned it up do you think it would work its got 280 km on it and would we be able to like drive it on the road its in pretty good condition but hasnt ben ran in a long time

A: I would change the oil and oil filter, get the old gas out and put some fuel injector cleaner in it. Alson another thing that you might need to check is the air filter as mice and other animals like to make homes in them. Check for dry rot on the tires and check the pressures. Check the drive belt also. Other than that you should have a good running car. Good Luck!

Q: 1994 Chevy Camaro z28 heater, defroster, and rear window defroster problem.?
Can a bad installation of an aftermarket stereo on a 1994 Chevy Camaro z28 make a heater, and defroster not work? Also my interior light that turns on when i open the door doesnt work, and the transmission shifter lights dont turn on. I dont have the stock stereo to put it back on to find out if it was a bad installation. Has anybody had this same problem happend to there car?
I forgot to mention that my heater only throws air, but not warm air.

A: Take the car back to whoever did the work for the stereo and have them correct the problem, after all they are the ones who screwed up the job. Chances are there is an exposed wire somewhere or a wire touching another causing a grounding out of the circuit. As to your heater problem I would replace the thermostat and have the cooling system flushed out and new fluid put in. If this does not solve your problem then your heater core is bad and needs replaced. I have the same heating problem with my Camaro.

Q: how do I change the starter on a 87 chevy camaro z28?

A: Replacing the starter is rather easy. First make sure you disconnect the battery. If you don’t sparks may fly. There is a large and small nut you must remove from the solenoid for the voltage and singal wire. Then there are two bolts that go through the starter you have to remove. Pull the starter towards the front of the car and pull it down(this make take some twisting and turning). Then it’s just the opposite to install. If you can’t get to the wire nuts try taking out the starter bolts first, just be careful not to damage the wires.

Q: having trouble with chevy camaro z28 LT1..plz help?
ok so i have a 1995 chevy camaro Z28 LT1 and i just had the code scanned because the check engine light was on and it said it was the spark advance, so i changed the distributer and cap and rotor button, had the spark plugs done on it, the car ran good for the first day, the second day it died. i unplugged all the electrical and then plugged it all back in and the car ran for another day. then it died again. i cleaned the ground from the coil to block, and i can crank the car and it will run for a few minutes then it shuts off! all the wires are plugged in! and i just recently had the whole motor and heads rebuilt so just about everything on the car is brand new!

A: Between my husband and I we both are Camaro enthusiasts. Sounds like you went from the most likely to the trickier I see..We usually follow the moto if there is a problem it ‘fuel or fire’ issues. But Im stumped here. I was thinking from everything from dirty throttle body to wrong spark plug gap. I know there is an charchoal undercarriage in most vehicles that collect excess fuel fumes. Then reintroduces them to the system once its restarted. But these RARELY go out and usually last the lifetime of the car. Look on AM radio on Sunday around noon time locally there is a show called cartalk with some old school mechanic brothers out of Philidelphia. YOu can call in and describe the trouble and they really can pinpoint a problem. Good luck sorry cant really help more..

Q: Having trouble with Chevy Camaro Z28 LT1..plz help!!?
ok so i have a 1995 chevy camaro Z28 LT1 and i just had the code scanned because the check engine light was on and it said it was the spark advance, so i changed the distributer and cap and rotor button, had the spark plugs done on it, the car ran good for the first day, the second day it died. i unplugged all the electrical and then plugged it all back in and the car ran for another day. then it died again. i cleaned the ground from the coil to block, and i can crank the car and it will run for a few minutes then it shuts off! all the wires are plugged in! and i just recently had the whole motor and heads rebuilt so just about everything on the car is brand new!

A: pull the distributer out and replace the reluctor shaft,
sounds like the reluctor moved on the shaft.. $130
at the chevy dealer, or used distributer for a bout $25

A: I would check the timing with a timing light, if the code said spark advanced. Could also be the timining chain.

Q: 1980 chevy z28 camaro transmission swap?
I bought a Camaro for 1000 dollars and i want to put a transmission i know thats reliable into it. I bought it with a 350 V8 engine and a 350 turbo transmission. But i am looking to swap out the 350 turbo with the 700r4. What problems am i going to run into ad what changes need to be made?

A: common popular swap you should have no difficulties other than the drive shaft might have to be shortened but i do not think you have to . both share the same input shaft 26 spline and other than changing the shifter indicator if you stay stock on the console it will work fine. Or you can change the shifter to aftermarket or they do make a shifter cable and indicator that looks factory. you also will save gas with the overdrive … enjoy

Are you looking for a 2010 Ford Taurus?

Q: Has Anyone seen the Spy Pictures of the 2010 Ford Taurus?
Not that anyone cares, but I have been hearing some people talk about seening spy pictures of the 2010 Taurus. They say it looks very sleek and has a nice design, and looks nothing like the 2008 Taurus that just came out resembling a newer looking 500. Does anyone know what sites to go on. Please let me know, and please don`t go into that Ford sucks, etc. just let me know if there are any sites that i can go on.

A: http://www.leftlanenews.com/ford-taurus-future.html

I wouldn’t know if that’s what your really looking for since I don’t keep up with the latest body styles.

Personally most cars look generic and like every other car to me these days. About the only way to set yourself apart is to be a tuner or drive a rust bucket.

Q: on the 2010 ford Taurus will their be a 3rd quarter window on the side ?
on every Taurus sens 1986 their has been a little window on the back i wonder if ford will keep up the tradition on the 2010 ford taurus?

A: The Taurus will go in for a major update early next year and adapt many of the new features from the recently launched Lincoln MKS. The car will get a much sleeker look but will still be based on the current model’s D3 platform

The third quarter window is on the new 2009 Lincoln and can also be seen on the 2010 Fusion. This appears to be a common theme to allow the rear window to roll down farther. I do not see a reason this will not be on the new Taurus. Personally, I can’t wait to see it.

Q: The New 2010 Ford Taurus what is the difference between these two modles?
what is the difference between 2010 Ford Taurus Limited AWD 4DR Sedan TAU05 P2J and the 2010 Ford Taurus Limited 4DR Sedan TAU04 P2F what is the difference besides money? Does Anyone know!!!!!!!

A: 4X4 traction

Q: How long do you think it will be until people start selling a used 2010 Ford Taurus?

A: if you want look at the hertz websites they should start selling them by the end of the year and the ford dealer will have some of them to also get on yahoo autos might see some in the next month or so with several thousand miles on them

Q: What do you think about the 2010 Ford Taurus?
Which model is best and what do you think it is like in the snow?

A: I think that the 2010 is the best looking Taurus ever! Personally, I’m not a huge Ford fan but their new line-up looks great and they have made adjustments in their problem areas; electrical, power steering and transmission. Hands down I would have to take the SHO O O yeah! I have yet to drive one, but by their stance and wheels I would say that it handles fairly well in the snow, but the only way to know for sure is to go test drive one.

Q: Will there be a 2010 Ford Taurus Police Package?
With the Crown Vic/Interceptor getting on in age and Dodge and Chevy offering police packages on their flagship sedans, will Ford offer a Taurus Police Package?

A: I don’ think so but SHO will be available.

Q: Is the 2010 Ford Taurus SE a good choice?
I don’t want the SHO all I need is a business car so nothing really fancy.

A: The Taurus is an excellent car, i can’t recommend it enough. Regardless of trim level you get a lot of equipment. It was considered to be Motor Trend’s 2010 Car of the year, but they chose the Fusion instead, which is another great car. But the Taurus right now is the best it has ever been before. It has the same engine and transmission as the Limited and SEL models so it is a smooth and quiet engine.

Q: How much will the price of the 2010 Ford Taurus go down in 2 years?

A: probably $10k

Q: will a 2010 Ford Taurus SHO Engine fit in a 2000 V6 Mustang?
I have a 2000 V6 Ford Mustang and the engine doesn’t do it for me…i want more out of it, I have the option to buy a 2010 Ford Taurus Sho engine but i want to know if it will fit or even work with a rear wheel drive car??

A: it will work but will cost you an arm and leg to do the swap…don’t do it

Q: When does the 2010 Ford Taurus come out?
I love this car. When does it come out?

A: The 1st of July they should be arriving to showrooms!… i agree great car!!

Q: Where is the Ford Taurus 2010 made?
Many auto brands such as GMC/Chevrolet have many of their models built outside the USA. Is the Ford Taurus 2010 such a car or is it totally built in the USA?

A: Chicago Illinois.

Q: Which car (if you had a the money) would you buy? The 2010 Ford Taurus or the 2011 Chevy Volt?
Just out of curiosity. I would buy the Ford.

A: They aren’t really comparable, but I’d 100% buy the Taurus.

1 – its a far superior car, design wise (although that is subjective)
2 – Taurus has the SHO variant which is still cheaper than the Volt will be
3 – SHO 0-60 rivals $80K Audis and Mercedes
4 – Volt is vaporware up to this point, SHOs are rolling off the line in IL
5 – Which one took your tax money? Why would you reward GM for doing so?

Easy to see – Taurus wins!

Q: what you think of the 09 Chevy impala and 2010 ford taurus?
to me chevy impala got a boaring look inside look not style enough ford taurus to me it a ugly car and the inside not that good I dont see what the hype over those car I take the chevy malibu then those car

A: I think the Taurus is the superior car. More power, better mileage, more modern styling inside and out, and better suspension, 6 speed transmissions, and AWD is available. The Impala has been largely the same since 2000, it’s outdated in many ways.

Q: Does the 2010 Ford Taurus brake itself?
I read that it has brake support, but it just says the brakes are precharged. Does this mean that the car will brake, if you don’t?

A: here u go man!

Active safety technology in Ford Taurus takes a giant step forward with the available new, class-exclusive* Adaptive Cruise Control and Collision Warning with Brake Support. Adaptive Cruise Control is a truly adaptable feature. Activate it and it functions just like normal cruise control — with one exception. When adaptive cruise control sensors detect traffic slowing, your vehicle also slows down. When its sensors detect traffic has cleared, your vehicle resumes the set speed. Collision Warning with Brake Support helps in case an accident appears imminent. This function will alert you if it senses a potential collision with the car in front of you. A “heads-up” display, which simulates brake lights, flashes on the windshield. If you don’t react and a collision is imminent, the brakes will precharge and increase brake assist sensitivity to provide full responsiveness when you brake. Adaptive Cruise Control and Collision Warning with Brake Support is available on 2010 Taurus Limited and SHO models.

Q: is ford taurus available in india by 2010 ?
is 2010 ford taurus available in india ?

A: They should be by now

Q: Does Ford make hardtop convertible mustangs anymore?
I am looking to get a new 2011 Ford Mustang GT hardtop convertible but I just don’t know whether or not they actually make hardtop convertibles. Some say they do and others say they don’t. Whats the real deal here?

A: Sorry No

Q: Questions about a 2007-09 Ford Mustang Convertible?
I will be graduating in 2011 and I’m going to need a vehicle. I’ve decided to go the cheaper route since this will be first vehicle, so I’ve decided on a Mustang (most likely the 2008 model). I’m a little skeptical about buying the convertible version, because I’ve never operated or even rode in one. So can someone please answers these questions for me:

How long does it take for the top to come up or go down?
Can you let the top up while you’re driving?
Will the cloth top fade?

A: Less than 30 seconds
no, the emergency brake has to be applied and the tranny in park
not if you take care of it.

Q: Is it worth to buy a convertible car over a non-convertible?
I want to buy a Ford Mustang 2011 and I could pay extra money for the convertible option. Will i be cold in the winter? Is there hassle? Is it worth it?

Thx

A: personal preference mainly, and resale in summer is almost guranteed. What do you want? and as the other answer wrote by replacing tops every 7 or 8 years, it stays plenty winter tight. In the end, its your money, and if you never had one, and want one and can afford it, best of luck, enjoy. its your toy.

Q: Are convertible cars believed to be “girly”?
I want a Ford Mustang 2011, and i dont know if i should get a convertible or not, some people have been saying that convertibles are for girls, but i dont know, so what do you guys think?

A: generally yes, but who gives a crap? i want a mazda miata! its an amazing car! cheap, fuel efficient, lightweight, amazing handling.

Who cares what others think, its your car.

Q: a Mustang or a Camaro?
i’m planning on getting a new car

i’m a mustang lover .. i love camaros too
so its either a 2011 mustang gt convertible at
or a 2011 camaro ss at
the new mustang in my opinion is better but its lacking some basic things like automatic transmission with manual shifting

i’m really confused
i’m not a fanboy of ford or chevy
i just want the best for now

A: 1st: Don’t get auto transmission, manual is the only way to not sacreligously drive a sports car. That being said, the 2011 Mustangs weigh a lot less, have better acceleration, and a better top speed along with the new 5.0L engine. The mustangs have also been around (in the newer style) a lot longer and they’ve had time to figure some things out. The camaro is lacking in my opinion.

Q: Need help with money???
am about 25 years old and I am a professional football player (NFL). I made about $70 million in the last couple of years from being on tv and from playing. I got so caught up in the money that I bought these cars:
2009 Porsche Carrera GT- $440,000
2008 Hummer H3- $43,000
2009 Ford Mustang GT- $30,000
2007 Jaguar XK Convertible- $81,000
2010 Porsche Panamera- $105,000
2008 Lexus RX350- $43,000
2008 Mercury Grand Marquis- $17,000

These Houses:
New York City, Trump Tower, 2 Bedrooms- $1,500,000
Miami Beach, 3914 Island Estates Dr.- $6,000,000
Orlando, Boardwalk Hotel Rooms- $1,000
Hollywood, California 900 South Northlake Dr.- $7,000,000

And I also bought a nice a*s Yacht:
2011 Mcp Gft 98 Hard Top Superyacht- $8,627,744

And now I have about $4 million in the bank and I dont know what to do, I already got advise from my accountant but now i want other peoples thoughts, tell me wat your think i should do.

A: Hmm…..and to think you were in high school just three weeks ago, judging from your last question (below):

Need help wit this chick???
I am in High school and I like this girl in one of my classes. We never really talked before and we dont really no eachother that well. we are just in the same class and i see her in the hall alot during the day. she is a cheerleader and i am a varsity football player. i was just wondering should i get to no her better then ask her or just ask her

But to answer your question about what you should do…..study hard, get into a good college, get a degree, a nice job, a nice paycheck. Probably not $70M, but heh, it’s a living……

Are you looking for a 2011 Ford Mustang?

Q: Can I have Ford Sync installed in my new 2011 Ford Mustang?
I just bought a 2011 Mustang, the v6 one, and it doesn’t come with sync because it is the base model. I was just wondering if I could have a dealership install the Ford Sync system. Does anyone know if this is possible and how much does it cost?

A: If the base interior of the v6 is the same as the Mustangs with packages, then it might work. I would go to the nearest Ford dealership and ask. If it is possible, it would probably cost $500-$1000.

Q: what would be the speed of a 2011 ford mustang gt?
ok the 2010 ford mustang gt 4.6L runs to 140 mph and it has 315 hp but they’re saying that they’re saying they’re going to replace the 4.6L to a 5.0L on the 2011 mustang gt with 400 hp and 400 torque and i want to know if the speed will be 140 or 150

A: the top speed will be limited @ 140 mph again or 155 mph because of safety standards and insurance purposes for Ford! it is capable of going a lot faster though!

Q: Does the 2011 Ford Mustang have an option to add a glass roof?
I know you can have a glass roof on a 2010 Mustang, but what about the 2011?
If they do offer this, do you think it would look awkward?

A: http://www.fordvehicles.com/cars/mustang/features/#page=Feature6
But of course they will! Same car, just new drivetrain. It wont look awkward. Will look the same as the 2010 looks with a glass roof. So check out the website link posted. Will answer all.

Q: Is everyone else as excited about the 2011 ford mustang gt as I am?
Ford is putting the 5.0L engine back in the stang and its going to be faster then the SS Camaro and the Srt8 Charger and have a better hp/lbs ratio then them. How great are the 2011 stangs going to be
Also faster and better hp/lbs ratio then the dodge srt8 challenger as well

A: YES!!
I’m very excited and we are starting to put in our orders now.
Even those that don’t need the extra power are excited because Ford is offering big incentives on the 2010’s to make room for the 2011’s

It’s a win-win situation for everybody!.. except maybe the ‘competition’… )

Q: Around how much would it cost to insure a 2011 Ford Mustang V6?
Will the fact it’s a Mustang mean I get charged a lot. If you think about it, it’s not really more powerful than any of your luxury vehicle engine, and the car isn’t that expensive. But it is called a Mustang. The car is really powerful (305 hp), but it’s not a GT, so will I have to pay an arm and a leg? I pay about $800 a year for my RSX Type S currently.

A: Since you cleverly forgot to tell us anything about yourself, where you live, your age, your driving history, and since we don’t have rate books here, you’ll have to call an agent or company to get a quote; we can’t do it here.

Q: What is the difference between the 2011 ford mustang and the “premium” edition?
Please list all specifications, special features, etc.

A: you mean like 2 extra cylinders, 12 extra valves and 107 horsepower….bigger brakes, swaybars and heavier springs, wheels and tires….upgraded interior the list goes on…

Q: Spiritually speaking, should I trade in my yellow Volkswagon Beetle for a red 2011 Ford Mustang 5 liter V8?
Do you think the girls will respect me more if I turned up in this: http://2011cars.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/2011-mustang.jpg

This car has more cylinders than I have inches!

A: I’d respect you more is you rode an environmentally friendly bicycle.Preferably in your tight, latex bike shorts to help accentuate your glorious man equipment.

Q: Can you get satellite navigation on a 2010 or 2011 Ford Mustang convertible?
If so, how much extra does it cost and is it any good?

A: It looks wonderful in the car. It comes as part of an electronics or entertainment package, which I believe costs around $2000 in total. You can get the exact price by going to the Ford website and configuring a Mustang, and you can easily see the prices of all the options.

Q: Which is better (faster) and stronger? 2011 Ford Mustang GT or 2010 BMW 335i base?
the 2011 mustang gt has like 420hp and the 335i only has 300hp. so doesn’t it make sense that the gt would own the 335i? but then how come the 335i costs like twice the price of the ford mustang 2011 gt?
or am i wrong?
1 second ago – 4 days left to answer.

A: The worth of a car is not measured by engine size, horse power or even speed. It’s all about build quality, materials use, overall driver enjoyment, service, residual values, safety, handling, and much more.

What you have with the Ford Mustang GT is a cheaply made Ford. Just look at the amount of cheap plastics used and other low quality parts in the poorly designed interior. The mechanicals are awful too. The suspension and rear axle are horribly dated, any kind of electronic stability and traction control is old fashioned.

In terms of brute force, the Mustang is the clear winner. In a straight line it will, as you put it, own the BMW (although really we are talking less than half a second difference 0-60). But throw in some real life driving, with turns, and you’d immediately appreciate the BMWs poise and handling. versus the clumsy Mustang with its single rear axle.

When you sit in the BMW, you’ll find a classically designed vehicle that has won top ten ranking by Car and Driver for something like 19 years in a row. You’ll see expensive wood, and quality materials. Everything you touch has a feel of quality to it.

You can expect good reliability from the BMW, it will hold its value well, and for the first 50,000 miles you can expect free servicing, even oil changes, brakes and wiper blades replaced for free.

Finally, if you are a grown up, you will realize that in this day and age, racing around in a muscle car so fast you can out accelerate a BMW 335i, is just going to end with bad things. Tickets, loss of license, jail, fines, you name it.

For most normal people, they are going to use their cars for a daily commute to work, and perhaps a trip at the weekends.

The BMW will ultimately be a wonderfully fast and rewarding driving experience. The Mustang on the other hand will always be a young boys racer. The harsh antiquated suspension, noise, and over the top styling, combined with that nasty interior, will grow old very quickly. And when you sell it, don’t expect to do well there. Fords are not great at holding their value. When you try to sell your Mustang, there will be a dozen others just like it, helping to keep your value down.

Finally there is insurance. The Mustangs reputation as being a car for immature males with a racing fetish will ensure they stick it to you on the insurance premiums. The in your face styling will also make you a cop magnet.

Sorry, but there is no real comparison between these two vehicles, I’d take the BMW any day over the Mustang, and gladly pay the extra for that kind of quality.

Q: what is the song that is used in the new 2011 ford mustang commercial?
i just wanted to know what that song is.

A: The song from the Ford Mustang commercial is “Light of the Morning” by Band of Skulls.

You can check out a video of the commercial and listen to the song at the link below:

http://www.popisms.com/TelevisionCommercial/16581/Ford-Commercial-for-Ford-Mustang-2010.aspx

Q: What’s the name of the song that’s on the 2011 Ford Mustang commercial?
All I know is “You gotta go.” My little bro loves that song and i would like to get it for him.

A: song name: Light of the morning

By: Band of skulls

Q: Which is better (faster) and stronger? 2011 Ford Mustang GT or current BMW 335i base?
the 2011 mustang gt has like 420hp and the 335i only has 300hp. so doesn’t it make sense that the gt would own the 335i? but then how come the 335i costs like twice the price of the ford mustang 2011 gt?

Q: does the new 2011 v6 ford mustang have a button for traction control ON/OFF?
im talking about the new 2011 V6 mustang that will be coming out soon. not 2010. thanks.
is the traction control button an upgrades option only on the GT? or on the v6 too? is it in the base v6?

A: It is available. Depends on the options. The v6 has the traction control as an option.

Q: How many gallons per tank are in the 2011 Ford Mustang V-6 Coupe?

A: 17 gal…

Q: 2011 Ford Mustang V6?
What is the difference between this: http://www.autotodays.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/2011-mustang.jpg and this: http://www.egmcartech.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/2009_la_2011_ford_mustang_v6_images_main.jpg I know they are both 2011 V6, but why are the symbols in the front different?

A: Because the first one is a concept the second one is closer to production but not really.

Q: Will the 2010 Acura MDX have a body re-design?
I am thinking about getting the 09 one but would wait if 2010 will be completely redesigned. I know the last redesign was the 07 model, I don’t know if Acura does one every 4 years or sooner?

A: it might just tweak a little inside the car but not the exterior

Q: 2010 Acura MDX in Canada?
any idea when the 2010 Acura will be available in Canada and what the differences from the 2009 model will be?

A: The release date for the 2010 MDX got delayed in Canada. It was supposed to be September but now it appears it’ll be more like October/November. ZDX will likely be released in December.

Q: Russian Fonts on Acura MDX 2010 with Tech package?
Is it possible to get support for Russian Fonts on Acura MDX 2010 with Tech package? My ipod has a bunch of russian songs on it and all files have proper ID3 tags in Russian. They work perfectly on my ipod, itunes etc. but when I connect my ipod to my MDX all Russian song titles show up as blanks on the Acura screen menus.

Is this something that can be fixed/patched or do I have to rename all files to English letters?

Thanks

A: I’ve never seen a patch for any characters in any other language. Getting a Russian NAVI DVD might change the fonts for your music, but it would not allow you to utilize your maps where you live.

Q: 2010 ACURA MDX or lexus IS or Audi Q5?

A: Two SUVs and a sedan, not real comparable vehicles. First, you need to decide whether you want a SUV or sedan.

If a sedan, then the Lexus IS. 350 has more power and is a tad bigger than a 250, also a little more expensive. 250 is available w/ AWD (350 isn’t). IS-F is a great vehicle of course, but also twice the price of anything else listed, so I’m assuming probably not that.

For the SUVs, between the MDX and Q5, I personally like the Q5, but I like Audis too……

Q: Should i get a 2010 Acura MDX?

A: 2010 ACURA MDX

Its a great choice, less expensive than its competition of SUV’s such as the Audi Q7 & BMW X5.
Nice interior, good tech inside. Smooth ride.

Price is around $40,000

Q: 2010 Luxus RX350 versus 2010 Acura MDX?
My wife and I are looking at purchasing a new SUV and we are looking mostly at the above two models. (we are test driving the RX next week)

My question is:

1. We get quite a bit of snow, which AWD system would be the better one? Or are they both fairly comparable?

2. Which one would you choose given the choice?

3. Has anyone heard of quality differences between the two? We are looking for something that long term will be fairly reliable

4. Any other views on the two choices? Are there others that you would recommend?

Thanks all
Jim

A: Both are reliable

MDX has a 3rd row seat and available dvd player

MdX has some specail 4wd called SH-AWD

MDX is roomier

I’d buy the MDX

More choices: Infiniti FX, Cadillac SRX, Audi Q5, Mercedes ML,

Q: When will the Acura 2010 MDX be available.?

A: 2013

Q: 2009 Acura MDX or 2010 Lexus Rx 350?
I’m trying to decide this weekend whenever to buy the Acura or the Lexus. I test drove the Acura and I was not very impressed, it was a delay from then pressing the gas till the car accelerates… the interior on the Lexus is nicer, more features… BUT in the end what’s more RELIABLE and SAFER, which one HADLES BETTER IN WINTER / ICY CONDITIONS? How much better is the SH-AWD than the Active torque control in Lexus, in real life (not just on paper).

A: If you don’t need the 3rd row definitely go with the RX.

Traction does depend on the tires as much as the AWD system. Both are good. The Acura’s SH-AWD is more for performance handling rather than all weather traction. The RX is more refined, luxurious, quicker, and gets better MPG.

Get the RX.

Q: What is good about the new, improved Acura?
SCENARIO: Makenna wants to buy a 2010 Acura MDX, she wants to know what’s good about the car because it’s attractive to her.

A: I just got one yesterday with the tech package. Acura MDX 2010 was marked as BEST BUY for the car in its class. It also ranked #1 among luxury mid-size SUV’s.
Check this out : http://usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/cars-trucks/rankings/Luxury-Midsize-SUVs/
I never drove Acura before so I cannot tell you how it is compares with previous year models. I drove Mercedes Benz R-class and I can surely say that I like Acura better. Car tech package comes with lost of features, like real-time traffic updates and very powerful audio system. Of course it has all latest tech gadgets like blutooth and iPod connectivity. The only think I do not like it does not have a multilanguage support. Apart form this – Acura MDX is awesome.

Q: 2010 Lexus Rx350 or 2009 Acura MDX?
I’m trying to decide this weekend whenever to buy the Acura or the Lexus. I test drove the Acura and I was not very impressed, it was a delay from then pressing the gas till the car accelerates… the interior on the Lexus is nicer, more features… BUT in the end what’s more RELIABLE and SAFER, which one HADLES BETTER IN WINTER / ICY CONDITIONS? How much better is the SH-AWD than the Active torque control in Lexus, in real life (not just on paper).

A: the acura mdx is rated the best luxury suv in its class when compared to other car competitors such as bmw x5, porchse cyanne, and lexus rx350. but the lexus rx350 is also good (rated #2). personally i liked the previous models on both suvs. I m most likely going to be buying the acura mdx because the model has been out for several years (so if theres any mechanical problems after the first year they can fix them). But the lexus came out , so there may be mechanical problems with the car for their first year since its a new model (2010).

Acura Mdx is my choice though.

Q: Acura TSX or MDX owners: Is possible to change from ºF to ºC?
Hi, to all Acura TSX or MDX owners (2010 versions). The climate temperature, is it possible to change it from ºF to ºC?

Thanks!

A: Not that I have seen. I know it’s possible on the Civic, but I haven’t been able to do it on my MDX.

Q: What kind of car will look nice with a 26 yr old female?
I just graduated and now I am going car shopping. im thinking about a 2010:
Acura MDX or TL
infiniti G
Audi Q5
Lexus IS 350
What do u think?
Thanks
I am looking for a car that is not going to come out with a ALL NEW model 1 or 2 years from now..lol
Dont know I guess I like all the cars above and would like people to give good advice.

A: a pinto.

seriously why would you ask this- ur gonna be seen in it and ur gonna have to make the payments. the choice is yours.

Q: BMW or Acura SUV?????
BMWX5:

http://www.carbodydesign.com/archive/2006/08/12-new-bmw-x5/New-BMW-X5-2-lg.jpg

Acura MDX:

http://image.trucktrend.com/f/24364753+w750+st0/163_0907_024z+2010_acura_MDX+rear_view.jpg

A: I like the BMW better.

Q: i’m 17 and getting a new car….?
like i said i’m 17 and my parents are getting me a new car. I live in Boston so obviously I have to drive in the snow, so idk if i should get a 2010 Honda civic Si or 2010 Acura mdx…what do you think??
well i know I should be happy with whatever they get me, but they told me to chose between those 2 cars though, that’s why i’m asking lol

A: Get the Civic. It’s good enough in the snow, and much more fuel efficient. Get the sedan, not the coupe and your insurance won’t be too terrible. The MDX would be quite a bit bigger and not as fuel efficient. Harder to park, maneuver, etc. and the maintenance is much more. Either way, let them weigh their options. Both are great vehicles.

Q: BEST CAR? HELP PLEASE!!!!!?
I’ve narrowed down two cars within my budget range, post-cash in for my old crappy car, to the

BMW X5 (2008) 3.0si 3 cylinder

or the

Acura MDX 2010

I’ve heard rave reviews about both of them, but I just cant decide between them, Both are between 35,000 and 45,000 depending on what i put on them, so price isn’t really an issue.

The things I care about are the basic things, fuel economy, comfort, and leg room, etc.

I will be marking any undetailed answers as spam, so please dont just type in “Hur hur get a hybrid” or some other equally useless info just to get points. I will be giving best answer, so please try to give detailed advice, pros and cons, personal experience, etc.

Thanks!

A: First off, the age of the car is definitely valid in your car choice- the Acura will be new, which means an easier finance rate, and a better warranty, while the BMW is used, which means no free maintenance, no guarnatee on how the car was taken care of previously, and a higher finance rate.

Comparing the two cars, the BMW is more luxurious while the MDX has a bit of an edgier feel to it, both in the look and the ride.

I personally would go for the MDX- While the X5 has improved from the last generation, it’s repairs/maintenance are way too much, and the gas mileage is 14/19 while the MDX’s is 16/21- a couple of miles different, and both use premium gas.

As for comfort and leg room, it really depends on the person. The MDX feels a bit smaller than the BMW to me, but unless your 6 feet or taller, it shouldn’t be an issue.

Test drive both out yourself, and base your decision off of that- keep in mind that everyone has different preferences, so opinions will very.

Also keep in mind that ALL automakers have lemons- just becuase one person has a horrible car does not make the whole model in general horrible, just read up on the trends of long term owners and see what they have to say about the car.

Are you looking for a 2010 Volkswagen Jetta?

Q: How do you connect an iPod Classic to the 2010 Volkswagen Jetta?
I just got a new Jetta and it has the iPod adapter. The problem is, I can’t figure out how to work it, and the instruction manual doesn’t help. With the adapter comes some holders that go around the adapter to keep your iPod in place, except they make it so difficult to find out how to put them in and which one to use. I tried just not using the holders, but it wouldn’t connect. Can anyone help me here?

A: If you have the IPOD holder in the center arm rest area, the correct insert should be the one your IPOD can slip into. Just figure out which one is the correct size, hold the one that is in your car and pull it upwards, it should come right out, install the one that is your correct size and rock on.

Q: How do I play music my iPhone onto my Volkswagen Jetta 2010 ?
It has a slot to your iPod in, but when I put my iPhone it starts to charge and won’t play the music. I can’t stream music by Bluetooth because that setting isn’t available for my car. I don’t have that whole navigation setting. It’s the simple 6 CD slot with AM/FM radio.

A: Another thing you can do is just get the FM transmitter for your ipod for $8, and then tune the radio to the right station.

Q: what is tire pressure for 2010 volkswagen jetta wagon 17″ tire?
Even my dealer could not tell me when I called. The information on the door is for 16″ tires.

A: If nothing else there should be a Max Pressure printed on the sidewall of the tire, I would go with about 80% of that.

Q: Should I get a 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid or a 2010 Volkswagen Jetta TDI?
Give me pros and cons for each car. Thanks!

A: A used Toyota or a new VW. The Camry hybrid uses lithium ion batteries that will eventually have to be replaced. They are very dangerous to the environment and will have to be recycled very carefully, not to mention what could happen to them if you are involved in an accident. The VW doesn’t have any of those dangerous chemicals built into the car and gets just as good of mileage if not better and you won’t have any used car issues that caused the other person to get rid of the car. Plus, VW’s don’t have the drive by wire, throttle issues that the Toyota has now. So if it was me, I’d go with the VW.

Q: Does the new 2010 Jetta TDI come with an engine heater?
Has anyone purchased the 2010 Volkswagen Jetta TDI and it came with an engine heater?
Also, how much did you pay for yours? Was it automatic or manual? Did you get a discount?

A: You can get one through the dealer, or get one from frostheater.com for a little over $100 (not sure of exact price for ‘10) and install it yourself. They’re available for the autos or manuals.

We’ve ordered and installed a frostheater kit for both my ‘01 Golf TDI and my dad’s ‘97 Passat TDI, it’s so nice having a good warm engine and hot heat as soon as you start the car!

Q: The 2010 Volkswagen Jetta or 2011 Hyundai Sonata?
I’m intending to buy a new 2010 or 2011 car in the upcoming weeks. I’ve been looking at a huge variety of cars in the past four months and comparing them until I came to the two cars:
*2010 Volkswagen Jetta Sedan Limited Edition
*2011 Hyundai Sonata GLS

I used to be set on getting a Volkswagen Jetta, however, I don’t seem to like the silver much and that’s all the car dealers around my area has (but if I don’t find a color I really like it’s not a big deal). Recently, I saw the Sonata and loved the new sporty look, but are Hyundais reliable cars? There are so many praises for the 2011 Sonata, but I obviously want a car that’ll last me a long time without breaking down in a few years.

A: get the jetta, i had a rental for a week and abused the hell out if it, so quick and powerful for its size. super fun but i heard that german cars are super expensive when it comes to the body shop or maintence stuff.

do you really wanna be seen in a hyundai??

Q: SD card in a 2010 Volkswagen Jetta?
I recently bought an SD card to use in my 2010 Volkswagen Jetta. I put all the music I wanted on there, but when I put it in the SD slot in my car, it only plays the music I downloaded off the internet. (Which is not a lot, I only get my music from iTunes or from CDs)

What is the reason for this? Is it because the music is “protected”? How could that be so, when I have songs on there from CDs, which do not come with the copyright protection thing.

A: It will most likely be because the fie formats are not mp3, but maybe wav files or something else. Check they are all mp3s.

Q: 2010 Volkswagen Jetta vs Honda Civic?
I am deciding what to get as my first car, and my friend is getting a Honda Civic. However, I am thinking about a VW Jetta, a car that not everybody has. All answers accepted, but especially from owners of both cars. Besides stating yes or no, add detail, and those who do not own either vehicle, add links showing where you got the info. thnx!

A: jetta. it has free maitenance up to 30000 miles. consider the diesel-you can get a tax credit. reliability is comparable. civic has a history of being very reliable. the jetta is bulletproof if its an 05 or newer. drive both vehicles and you will see- the jetta is way more fun to drive

Q: How Much Will A 2006 or 2007 Volkswagen Jetta Cost in 2010?
Assuming car prices remain about the same for 2 years, how much will a used 2006, or 2007 Jetta cost in 2010, that is when I will get my first car, and i’ve always liked the Jetta GLI’s.

A: thats a hard one to predict, due to recession.

I own a 2007 VW Jetta Wolfsburg Edition, and i paid 23k for it, before taxes and registration fees. As of right now, its worth about 20k, so in about two years, i’d picture it to be world 10-14 grand, depending on what condition it’s in

and the GLI is a bit more than the wolfsburg

Q: Is the Volkswagen Jetta 2010 a good buy?

A: Yes, and an even better buy if you take one with a TDI engine.

Q: 2010 Honda Civic or 2010 Volkswagen Golf/Jetta TDI?
Which is the better choice?

A: ???

The Volkswagen Golf and Jetta are 2 completely different cars. Do you want a hatchback or a sedan?

I’d go with a Volkswagen because they’re more fun to drive and still gets awesome gas mileage. Volkswagen also has “Carefree Maintenance” which includes all scheduled maintenance (I don’t think that includes oil changes).

Q: Can any one tell me some good history on past Volkswagen Jettas & Jetta TDI?
I’m really interested in the Jetta, it looks to be quite a nice little car. (2010 Jetta TDI)

Reliably, craftsmanship, fun, loyally.

A: Volkswagen has a terrible record when it comes to reliability.
go to Edmund’s.com and see what they have to say.

Q: 2009/2010 Mercury Milan or 2009 Volkswagen TDI jetta?
Which car would you decide to get? I might get one of these and I can’t make up my mind.. on one hand the jetta diesel would get far better mileage, but I think the mercury would be a more comfortable ride as I have a 40 minute commute to work. They both seem like pretty good cars…

A: TDI all the way. Both will be comfortable, Volkswagen – Germany – Autobahn. The TDI will be more reliable and a hell a lot more economical due to its excellent mileage and especially now that diesel is cheaper than gasoline. Also the resale value of the TDI will always be better than the Milan. The only area the Milan is a little better in front crash test rating, five stars vs. four stars for the Jetta. From the side both get five stars. But, as a added safety feature I believe the Jetta has Electronic Stability Control (ESC) whereas the Milan does not.

Q: How much better of a deal will i get on a new 2010 vw jetta than a 2011 jetta?
Does Volkswagen have a good clearance deal of the 2010 jettas? or should i just go with a 2011 jetta?
Thanks

A: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ghmy88Xl2L4

Q: Volkswagen Jetta Lease ?
I am REALLY wanting either a 2010 or the new 2011 Volkswagen Jetta …. What is the monthly lease payment and what is the down payment ? Thanks guys !

A: About $200 per month for 36 months with $2500 due at signing

However It’s selling price would only be between $18,000 to $23,000 with negotiation
